Tip: Discreet Tapping

So you have learned the basics and enjoy the benefits of tapping regularly. What happens when you are out and about, or in a gathering and feeling a little overwhelmed, or anxious, or, for any reason, need to feel a little calmer?

If you are happy tapping in public, fabulous!

If not, try the following: Place a finger on any of the EFT tapping points on your face or your collar bone and simply breathe.

You might stay on one point. You might feel like staying for a few seconds each on two or three points. With a little practice, it can look to others like you are simply deep in thought, but many people will notice a lightening of the emotion, a clearer head, and perhaps an increased feeling of presence and calm.

When you return to your car or house or other private space, you can then tap a full round if needed.

Please note: If the feelings of overwhelm or anxiety are caused by the sensory environment, it may be necessary to simply leave the space.

Always be kind to yourself. For more intense emotions and/or if you find that it is difficult to get results when tapping by yourself, please contact a qualified trauma-informed practitioner.
